Sweeter than Flowing Honey
The Clans in Montreal
Brujah: The Rabble are the dominant Clan in Montreal. They have the Prince, a Harpy and a Deputy among their ranks. They are one of the most numerous in the city and get along relatively well together. Though by no means as cohesive as the Ventrue, the Montreal Brujah tend to put their disagreements aside when they feel their position is threatened. Most of them fall into the Idealist category.
Gangrel: The Outlanders are still recognized in Montreal despite their Justicar's departure from the Camarilla. However, their numbers are few and they hold very little sway in the city's politics. They have a Keeper of Elysium among their ranks.
Malkavian: The Lunatics are another of the city's least numerous Clans. They have an elder who sits on the Primogen Council, but, though they have the Prince's ear, they have little sway over the direction of the Domain.
Nosferatu: The Sewer Rats are moderatly numbered, but hold very little influence in Montreal. The dominance of the Toreador probably accounts for that. The enmity is very strong between the two Clans, but so far the Toreador have kept the upper hand. Montreal's Nosferatu particularly like to rub their "filth" in the Toreadors' faces, even more so than in other Domains. Lazare, a Deputy, is their only titled member.
Toreador: The Degenarates are second only to the Brujah. Overflowing with skilled members, they remain, for now, supporters of the Prince. Some say it is only because he has allowed them a sizeable share of the spotlight. Indeed, their Elder sits on the Primogen Council, her childe is Seneschal, they count among them one Harpy and a Keeper of Elysium. Their continued support have allowed the Domain to remain stable over the years, despite its precarious position.
Tremere: In the Montreal Domain, like in the greater Camarilla, the Warlocks have found ways to make themselves useful. Though they hold few titles, their advice is always taken seriously by the Prince. The Sheriff is a Tremere and has been holding the title for well over half a century. She plays the political game well and seems to hold the trust and support of the Chantry's Regent.
Ventrue: The Blue Bloods are used to ruling, but Montreal is still out of their reach. Since none of their members has the clout to challenge the Prince, they have accepted a lesser role in the city. Moderatly numbered, they still managed to thrive. Their Elder sits on the Primogen Council, and a Keeper of Elysium, the one tailored to the Elders and eldest Ancillae, and a Harpy are Ventrue.
