Richard Russell was the first Ventrue embraced on Canadian soil. A wealthy business, he participated in the creation of the Royal Montreal Golf Club, managing to sneak in a few modifications to make it a Kindred-friendly establishment. Over time, he managed to steer the city’s most powerful members and learned how to provide for their specific tastes and preferences. In 1907, it was officially declared an Elysium by the Prince. Though it moved on many occasions, it remained a fixture in Montreal and eventually became more and more exclusive, to the point where now only elders and powerful ancillae are welcome in its halls.
